Bletchley & District Men's Final

On the Bank Holiday Monday, we hosted the Bletchley & District Men's Final between Bletchley Town and Wolverton Town. The weather was glorious and the game was played in a competitive but socialable manner. The whole day went off smoothly. Wolverton Town won the match and were presented with the trophy after the game.

To host an event like this requires a team effort both during the event and before the teams arrive. Thanks to the cleaning team and the green team for preparing club and the green on Monday Morning. Thanks to Peter for stocking the bar and to Adele and Brenda for manning the bar on the day. Brenda is now lining up a second career as a cinema usherette after selling ice creams to the spectators during the game. On the catering side, thanks to Geoff who did a grand job preparing the bacon butties and to Tricia who sold them and the teas and cakes. Finally thanks to Eric for welcoming both teams and to John Nash for umpring the day.
