News Update - April 27th

Results.

The weather this weekend was just about perfect for playing bowls, warm, sunny and dry.
So it was no surprise that, on Saturday, we had a full house of 30 players for our annual spoon drive. Congratulations to Vaunda, who won first prize, Gill W who finished second and Dave who was third.
Special thanks to Fraser for organising the day, Alison for recording the results and Liz and Pat for keeping everybody hydrated!

On Sunday, we hosted Winslow in a friendly game and won by 128-67. Our top team on the day were Brian, Ian and Joan.

Fixtures.

Next week our regular roll-up on Wednesday Afternoon has been cancelled because we are hosting the Bucks VPs in a match. The roll-ups on Monday Afternoon, and Thursday Evening will be played as usual, just turn up if you want to play.

At the weekend, we have two matches. Bradwell away on Saturday and Wing at home on Sunday. The teams for the Bucks VPs, Bradwell and Wing games are on the Rink Diary and there is still one vacancy for Sunday’s game. Please sign up, if you are available to play.

A gentle reminder, the rink diary sends out an email when the teams have been picked. This email contains a Yes button and a No button, please select the Yes to confirm that you will play. This really helps the Team Captain and avoids that awkward reminder phone call.

This week sees the first fixtures in the national competitions being played, with two games being played in the Foundation Pairs Competition. Good luck to John U and Kevin and also to Tricia and Martin.
