News Update - July 14th

Results

On Monday we held our ‘Strawberry Day’, which was enjoyed by all the participants and raised almost £1000 for the club funds. Huge thanks to Gill S and Adele who spent the whole day at the event, working in the kitchen. Also, thanks to Mike, John N and Ian for umpiring on the day.

On Thursday, our men were narrowly defeated by Linslade in the Bletchley & District League. This represents a marked improvement over our performance in the corresponding fixture last season. We also lost to Chandos Park in the Quarter Final of the Bucks Plate on Sunday Morning, ending our involvement in that competition for this season

We held our President’s Day on Saturday, again a great day for all involved and several pictures of the day have been posted in the picture gallery. Huge thanks to Brenda H for supplying the photos.

Fixtures

This time of year, the competitive fixtures come thick and fast. Our men will visit Stony Stratford on Tuesday Evening for their second match in the Bletchley and District League. On Thursday Evening, we face another away trip in the Bletchley and District Mixed League to play Bletchley Town.

At the weekend, we have yet another away trip, this time to Olney for a friendly game on Saturday.

A quick reminder to all the players due to play in the Ray Keen League on Wednesday, many of the fixtures have an earlier start due the World Cup Semi-Final. Please check with your team captain if you are unsure of the start time.
