Results

Our run of good results has continued this week. On Monday, Steph won the opening round in her Ladies' Champion of Champions campaign. After a slow start, Steph won a succession of ends in the second half of the game so secure victory. With no friendlies played at the weekend, our main focus was the opening round of the Friday Night Triples, our Open Day and our Invitation Mixed Pairs Gala.

On the Open Day we saw about a dozen potential new members attend and enjoy the sunny weather on our green. Hopefully, some will sign up in the next few days. On Sunday, the weather wasn't quite so good for our Invitation Mixed Pairs Gala, dry but a bit chilly. The day was a great success and huge thanks to all the people who helped out with the food, the bar and the event itself. The winning team represented Scots and the runners-up were from Roade.

Fixtures

We have a busy week of games ahead. On Tuesday, our Ladies will be hosting a team from Waddesdon. On Thursday, the visitors will be Bletchley Town in a Club Two Fours match. On Saturday afternoon, we have two fixtures our Men will be travelling to Bletchley St Martins for a Men's Top Club fixture and we also have a mixed friendly away at Adderbury. To round off the week we have our Club Triples Day on Sunday.

In addition to these club matches, we have the second round of the Friday Night Triples, a couple of Foundation Pairs games and our internal club competitions are ramping up. Please remember to check the Rink Diary and to book a free slot when arranging your club competition matches. The last thing we want is players turning up only to discover that all the rinks are already taken or players who haven't booked a slot being asked to vacate the green.
