Weekend Results - 1st June
Buckingham West End Bowls Club
On Saturday, we entertained Banbury Chestnuts in a mixed friendly fixture. The weather was very hot and humid and at one stage we were entertained by one club member removing a couple of layers of clothing to try to cool down.
Despite winning 3 of the 5 triples, we lost the overall match 88-93.
On Sunday, we travelled to Bletchley St Martins for another mixed friendly fixture. The hot weather of Saturday had been replaced by warm but very windy conditions. It was a very tight game and ended as a 84-84 draw.
As always, the games were played in a competitve but friendly way and the afternoons were enjoyed by all.
