Mixed Fours Gala Day
Buckingham West End Bowls Club
Forty-eight players from local clubs met yesterday on our green for the Fours Gala Day. The weather, food and friendliness of everyone made this a very enjoyable day. We received many positive comments. BWEBC has a brilliant reputation for its hospitality and welcome. Many players have been coming to our events for years.
It was a close contest with only 2 points separating the top 4 teams. The winners with 35 points were the team from Wolverton Town. Well done to Adam Tysoe and his team. The team from Woburn Sands and one from Stony Stratford both had 34 points, so second place had to be decided on shot difference and Annette Hirst's Stony team got second prize.
Many thanks to all Westenders who helped today. Your help is invaluable. The event raised over £500, not including bar takings.
