Weekend Results - 8th June

Unfortunately our Saturday fixture against Cheddington was cancelled after the Met Office issed a yellow weather warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms. Hopefully, we will have better weather for the reverse fixture in September.

On Sunday, we visited Bicester for a mixed fiendly game. This is one of the oldest fixtures in our history, with the first recorded match being played on 16th September 1915. Although in those days it was a strictly men only fixture. Unfortunately we lost that first fixture and history repeated itself on Sunday, when we lost 66-68. The newspaper report of that first game says that they enjoyed 'most lovely weather'. The same cannot be said for Sunday's fixture as it was windy and became decidedly chilly towards the end of the game. We all enjoyed the game and post-match chat in the clubhouse.
