Friday Night Triples Rules
FRIDAY NIGHT TRIPLES LEAGUE RULES
- The league will be played under the laws of the sport except as defined below.
- Dress code casual.
- Games will start at 6pm. Please arrive in time to start the game at 6pm.
- If a team is not ready to play within 15 minutes of the scheduled starting time, then the opposing team will be awarded 5 shots. If a team is not ready to play within 30 minutes of the scheduled starting time, then they will forfeit the game and the opposing team will be awarded 3 points and 10 shots.
- If a team cannot muster 3 players, then another club member can play, provided they are not a member of another team. A team must have at least 2 of its members playing. The substitute cannot play as Skip. A member who is not in a team can play for different teams on different evenings. If a team still cannot muster 3 players, they will play as a pair, bowling 4 woods each and 25%(rounded up) of their score will be deducted. The opposing lead and second will play 3 woods each and the skip 2 woods. If a team cannot muster 2 players, they will forfeit the game and concede 3 points and 10 shots.
- Games will consist of 14 ends. If the Friday’s games are abandoned for any reason, the score will stand provided 7 ends have been completed in all matches. If fewer than 7 ends have been played in any of the matches, Rule 12 will apply.
- There will be no trial ends.
- No player is allowed to visit the head.
- In the event of a killed end, 2 shots will be awarded to the opposing team.
- 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.
- The final league positions will be decided by points gained. If teams have equal points, shot difference will count. If shot difference is equal, shots for will decide the winner.
- If a Friday evening’s games cannot be played for any reason (such as inclement weather or the green not being playable), that Friday’s fixture will not be reorganised, and no points will be awarded to any team.
- Score cards to be signed by both skips and handed to the organiser or their representative.
- It is hoped that Team Leaders will ensure a near equal number of games are played by each member of their team. In the event of any dispute, or a situation n covered by these rules, arises, the League Manager’s decision will be final.
